The next day started by swimming in the Atlantic Ocean on Copacabana beach and then continued by sightseeing. But we didn’t have a chance because the statue of Christ the Redeemer is being repaired. It was really cloudy so it wasn’t possible to see it from Sugarloaf mountain. On the other side, slums that are called the Favels, were seen clearly. Approximately a quarter of inhabitants live there and they only respect their own rules here. After this postapocalyptic experience, we returned to our hotel to prepare for tomorrow’s engine changing.
